Back on the water, after the summer break for the TF35s, as part of the TF35 Trophy with the Malcesine Cup on Lake Garda in Italy.
Six TF35s were entered for these four days of racing on the magnificent northern Italian lake, with the wind conditions still just as regular, well, normally.
Yann Guichard and his crew were the last winners of this event already present on the 2022 calendar, and the crew of the La Trinité sur Mer team raced very well throughout these four days and the 12 regattas contested on the 15 included in the program.
Yann Guichard and his crew of Sails of Change have always been on the podium and won 6 races out of 12, which did not allow them to win the grand prize, but to take second place behind Real Team, two points behind the winner .
Yann Guichard skipper of Sails of Change: "We couldn't compete in the four races on the program, the wind died down faster than expected. We had a great day, with 1 victory and a second place, better than Real Team which is 1 and 3, but it's not enough to be ahead of them in the standings. It's a great regatta, we sailed well during this week. We come back to Comptoir Immobilier, our direct competitor in the general of the TF35 Trophy, we we are tied. It is the one who will finish ahead of the other at the last grand prix of the season who will take 2nd place. The only negative point is Yann who is injured in his ankle, we hope it is not not too serious and that he will be with us in a week".
